A woman suspected of having contracted the Influenza A H1N1 otherwise called as swine flu and was admitted to the special ward at the Kanyakumari Government Medical College Hospital, Asaripalam died here on Monday.

Medical college sources said Virgin Mary (44) of Neroodi Thurai near the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border was admitted to the KGMCH four days ago. She was transferred on Sunday to the Influenza special ward with breathing difficulty and died on Monday morning without responding to treatment.
