Egypt on Friday reported three more death cases of influenza A/H1N1, bringing the nationwide death toll to 106, said the Health Ministry in a statement.

A 35-year-old woman in Cairo and another 21-year-old woman in Alexandria died of A/H1N1 virus, said the statement, adding that both suffered from pneumonia and dyspnea.

The death toll from A/H1N1 influenza in South Korea has increased for the second consecutive week while cases of Influenza-like Illness (ILI) have declined, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Family Affairs said on Thursday.

The Ministry said in a press release that an additional 22 deaths from the A/H1N1 virus were reported last week, increasing the total number of fatalities to 170 as of Dec. 19, and that 50 patients are currently being treated for severe flu complications at intensive care units.

New Jersey: A Bergen County woman has died of swine flu and “there is flu activity in virtually every county in the state,” health officials said today in their weekly update.

Nevada: Health officials in southern Nevada are reporting three more swine flu-related deaths.
