Kansas: The mother of a Kansas teenager who died while attending the FFA national convention in Indianapolis says her daughter had contracted swine flu.
New York: A fifth Onondaga County resident has died of the H1N1 virus, or swine flu, which is spreading rapidly through the community.

Michigan: A 54-year-old Holland man is the first Ottawa County death confirmed to be related to the H1N1, or swine, flu.
Kentucky: The Lake Cumberland District Health Department is reporting the death of a McCreary County resident as the second H1N1 influenza-associated death in the area. The deceased was a female in her mid-50’s who passed away at a hospital out of state. It is not known if there were underlying health conditions. Health officials are continuing to investigate.
Florida: A 3-year-old Palm Beach County girl has died of swine flu, also known as the H1N1 virus.
Oklahoma: Six Oklahomans died from swine flu last week, bringing the official tally of reported deaths from the novel H1N1 virus to 17, health officials said.
